The Rio Preto reservoir and the city's mascot

In São José do Rio Preto the capybara became the official mascot, statue by the reservoir and all. The trouble is how many people want to pet one.

The city counts 114 capybaras split into four groups across three lakes of the municipal reservoir. The animal is a symbol of the town and a tourist draw: there is a statue, there are people who drive out just to see them, there are family photos with the reservoir behind.

And there is the official warning, repeated every season: do not touch and do not feed. People have offered the herd sugar cane. A capybara is not a pet, and human food throws off the whole group — besides teaching a wild animal to walk up to the very people it should be avoiding.

In the game

Reach the reservoir while dodging tourists who want to pet you and offer you food, without spoiling anyone's day out. Nobody dies in this level: the worst that happens is a fright and a fresh start.
